We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Kevin Amaral and Vigilant Brewing as the new operators of what will now be known as -- The Bristol Golf Park! Our vision for “The Bristol Golf Park” is to create a community hub for golf centric recreation, social gathering, fitness, and education integrated with visionary local enterprise, driven by the collaboration between NGC Golf Operations and Vigilant Brewing, in partnership with the Town of Bristol. Imagine 9 holes with a beer tasting on each tee, food trucks serving up tasty eats, and live music to keep you entertained. Golf leagues, one of a kind events, resident specials, kids clinics, couples nights… glow golf… maybe even night golf!... all right here at The Bristol Golf Park. Couple this with an educational classroom studying the environmental evolution and ongoing water management on the property… and walking trails to engage bird watchers and fitness seekers and you have a holistic “golf park” for the constituents of Bristol and residents of neighboring communities to enjoy.
Metacomet Golf Club, originally established in 1901 then transformed into a Donald Ross gem in 1924 will be reborn. Golf Course Architect, Robert McNeil working with Marshall Properties and NMP Golf Construction will restore and update a portion of the Metacomet routing into "Met Links". Work will begin in the summer of 2023 to shape, recapture and style a new 9 hole golf experience that carefully recrafts 7 holes from the original routing while introducing 2 new Ross inspired holes.
"This is a very special responsibility which we embrace with reverence and excitement. We have been blessed to work on a number of Ross designs and the chance to bring back a taste of the original Metacomet Golf Club is quite exciting."- Robert McNeil, ASGCA
"Our mission at NGC is to bring a broad vision of what a golf landscape can be, enhance and nurture that vision by integrating the goals of our clients through careful thought and thorough planning and finally to hand-craft a golf experience that all can enjoy."
